Afterschool Pods (Ages 8+) Max 6 students
PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE FOR JANUARY 25TH PODS:
MTW: 3:30 - 5:30 PM // THF: 4 -6 PM
Ages 8+ 3 week sessions. 5 days a week.
Monday to Friday: Limited to the same 6 students per 3 WEEK session. We are unable to accept drop in's due to the regulations. Ages 8+ We will be following the sf department public health order.
Each student will be provided with their own stuffy kits, craft kit, or clothing kit, or gardening kit throughout the camp session.
Kids will arrive with their parent or caretaker - stagger the number for physical distancing and individual check in procedure. We will greet outside the studio to meet and review, since only the camp kids are given access to entry.
- Check off signs for wellness and temperature reading, make sure they understand to sanitize hands, and wear their face mask throughout the day. Once each child is signed in, we will have them place their lunch and belongings in the cubbies labelled with their name. Each day we review the guidelines for working together safely, the behavior rules to stay at ease and productive, and provide the lessons and activity for the day. Follow up with questions and responses. Then we offer a brief time to share thoughts and expectations. If we have to discipline a child a third time for not following the necessary safe guidelines, we will notify the family promptly to help with the matter.
- The studio will be set up with space planning for each student to be given a work area to enjoy their sewing and craft activity. Each child will have a colored tray with their name label to hold supplies and tools for their personal use. No sharing of any items throughout the session would be necessary. Cleaning of the work stations and tools wilI be done sporadically & at the end of the day . The restroom space will be cleaned and checked often.
- We provide a variety of sewing, craft (Dana )& clay building activities (Liz Bloomfield). There will also be a portion of time set for outdoor gardening / play time. All the projects will be available individually to take home when completed.
- By the end of the camp day, the children will be ready with their belongings to meet up with each parent or caretaker who had dropped them off that morning. The guideline is to stagger the pickup of each child to respect the physical 6 foot distancing. Best to line up outside as you wait for your child to exit. If you were first to drop-off your child at 10am, then perhaps come back on the hour. If you were signed in past the morning hour, 10 to 15 minutes later, then return past the hour for us to prepare your child for pickup. We are totally flexible with the camp timing as long as you are comfortable in waiting a few minutes. Together we will manage to adapt to the new conditions provided for us as the time permits. Please offer your suggestions or approval so we can give our children a rewarding experience during their camp at Creative Canopy.
Please sign off on the check list before attending camp!
Thank you!
With Care,
