Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over,
It became a butterfly.
Unbelievably now we find ourselves living in a time of unprecedented peril and global hardship that has left us struggling with managing the anxiety and fear that arise from it, along with the desire to develop skills and tools to enhance and expand our lives beyond survival and the threat of the pandemic.
Many of us within our Creative Canopy community are wondering how to cultivate creativity, resilience and opportunities for well-being & wisdom as we meander together (at a safe distance!) along an undefined path of challenge, crisis and uncertainty.
As Spring delights our senses with its life-affirming beauty and emergence of color, let's pause to take a deep breath and step back from the current chaos and disruption to encourage ourselves to ask a few intriguing questions.......
How do we keep our families, friends and support systems together during these long
periods of self-isolation?..........
How can we help motivate one another to be creative and productive even at a stressful
time in such a way that brings joy?................
How can we come through this on the other side better than before?.......
The Chinese character for the word "crisis" is written as danger + opportunity.
TIME TO GET CREATIVE!
In this dark time, let's work together to create opportunities each time we see limitations, create options when faced with scarcity, create cooperation and harmony when challenged by discord and create a space for love when being led by fear.
As we behold the beauty of butterfly spirit and reflect on the possibilities of renewal, let's celebrate Spring and commit to challenging ourselves to grow, to thrive and transcend the darkness-- to create sparks of hope & joy and offer them to a world in need of healing-- to take time to appreciate our family, friends, & fellow travelers-- and make room for an expanding and evolving future.
